Story:

Dates are considered the oldest cultivated fruit in the world and have been enjoyed as far back as 6000 B.C.E. There are hundreds of varieties of dates, but it is only the Medjool which holds the title of ‘king of dates’. Medjool dates require intensive and complex cultivation, like hand-pollination to ensure sufficient yields and multiple trips up the tree for harvesting and pruning. They are actually a fresh fruit as there is no processing or chemical drying that takes place. Ancient cultures called the date palm the ‘Tree of Life’.

Instructions:

Enjoy as is for a nutrient-rich snack, on salads, in desserts or try stuffing with nut or seed butters. Store in a cool place.
