Reported to be used in Europe longer than any other condiment. In folk medicine, caraway is said to aid digestion, promote appetite, relieve flatulence, treat colic,  support the bladder and kidney functions. Used to relieve menstrual cramps, bronchitis and poor circulation. 

Add this spicy, anise like flavour to cabbage, cheese, soups, breads, eggs, stews, pickles or ferments. Or make a tea infusion or chew to freshen breath.
